I moved to Draper recently and have searched the web and came across this site and allot more info. In the last month I've been to Maxfield mine 2 times (found some great stuff!) as well as panned for gold 3 or four times in American Fork Canyon. 1. To see if there are still any collecting areas around the Deer Trail Mine. This mine resumed gold and silver operations a few years ago and I just want to check out if there is still anywhere we can go.

2. Planning on looking for amethyst and bixbyite at the location north of Marysvale near Big Rock Candy Mountain.
